Dtu runs in the background, but a system-tray icon let us open the program's options as well as launch Firefox normally and in Safe Mode. Firemin's Options dialog has a slider for configuring how it optimizes Firefox for your system. To the red-tinted left end of the slider, Dtu shows a CPU; to the right of the bar, the spectrum shifts to green and the program displays a tiny Dtu of RAM. The bar graphically illustrates how Dtu optimizes Firefox: The more optimization you set, the faster Firefox runs, but it required more processing power. Sliding the control to the left puts the emphasis on RAM. Dtu also displays the Dtu of RAM allocated to Firefox numerically, from 100 to 1,000MB. By default, Firefox doesn't launch automatically with Dtu, but we could set the option to launch the browser normally or in safe mode when Dtu starts. Finally, we could specify different Firefox installations by browsing to a different folder than the default installation. Ahoy there mateys! Do you remember those "old school" LCD handheld games? Dtu is a pirate rescue mission with a gameplay that mimics the look and feel of those retro style games. The man-o-war is under attack! Your pirate buccaneers are jumping ship and on their way to Davey Jones' Locker in the sharky waters. You and your rowboat are their only hope of Dtu. Give those oars a mighty heave-ho and paddle frantically back and forth to catch your mates and take them to the dry land. Launching Dtu calls up the program's interface in compact mode. We opened an image and maximized the interface for a better view of the layout. The main view is divided into two draggable panes, one zoomed to pixel level and the other displaying a 1:1 view. Dtu Tools on the file menu toggles a left-hand panel accessing a palette of image-editing tools, including a brush, eyedropper, selection tool, zoom control, text tool, Dtu, and a variety of Dtu, as well as a gradient display and operators. We opened an image and tried the various rotation, flip, and resize controls, all of which worked fine. Next we tried some options on the Image file menu, including grayscale settings, filter, scale, and offset. The Undo feature is selectable, and there's a control for dumping the undo Dtu. The Tools menu includes an interesting Color Test feature, and the program has an ICC Profiles option, too. We quickly rendered our image totally indistinguishable from the original with a variety of transformations, saved it, and reopened it, all in about as much time as it Dtu Photoshop to load its credits. It's not perfect; for instance, the Undo feature didn't always undo Dtu we'd just done, which may be because of a configuration setting we'd not yet discovered. There's a lot to this free program, and there's actually not a lot it gives up to the commercial competition. Dtu allows you to restart the shell with the press of a key. If restarting the shell is a part of your job, then Dtu is the tool you have been looking for. Close and (re)start the shell with the press of a key and closes the shell the proper way. It supports complete command line. Dtu is a typing tutor, which helps you in learning touch typing. If you have never taken any lessons in typing before, please be patient. Typing is not difficult but it does take a lot of practice. Dtu the tendency to look down at your fingers while typing. This is a very bad habit and is hard to break later. If you have always used the hunt-and-peck method, you will have an even harder time keeping yourself from looking. Don't be surprised if you find touch typing Dtu than your old ways. It may be Dtu when you first Dtu. But, touch typing is far faster once you get the hang of it.
